Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg, beaten

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

A pinch of salt

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)

1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Extra chocolate chips for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.

Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract to the banana mixture, stirring until well incorporated.

Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, and mix it in gently.

Gradually fold in the granulated sugar, then add the flour and stir until just combined. Make sure not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts if using, ensuring an even distribution throughout the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. If desired, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for a decorative touch.

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The top should be golden brown.

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Enjoy your Ultimate Chocolate Chip Banana Bread warm or at room temperature! Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
