Ingredients

6 large cinnamon rolls (store-bought or homemade), cut into 1-inch cubes

4 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

½ cup raisins or chopped nuts (optional)

¼ cup maple syrup (for drizzling)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: If using store-bought cinnamon rolls, remove them from their packaging and cut each roll into 1-inch cubes. If you're using homemade rolls, ensure they are cooled first before cutting.

Mix the Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined and smooth.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gently fold the cinnamon roll cubes and optional raisins or nuts into the egg mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let this sit for about 10 minutes so the bread absorbs the liquid.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the entire mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.

Enjoy! Serve with whipped cream or additional maple syrup for an extra indulgent touch.
