Ingredients

  • 4.0 pieces Tilapia fillets
  • 1.0 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.0 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2.0 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.0 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1.0 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.0 to taste salt and pepper
  • 0.0 pieces Fresh lemon wedges
  • 0.0 pieces Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Prep the Tilapia: Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. This helps the coating adhere better.
  • Seasoning Mix: In a shallow bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • Coating the Fillets: Brush each tilapia fillet with olive oil on both sides. Then, press each fillet into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture to coat thoroughly, ensuring an even layer sticks to both sides.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Air Fry the Tilapia: Place the coated tilapia fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If your air fryer is small, you may need to work in batches. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the crust is golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Serve: Remove the tilapia from the air fryer and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Fresh lemon wedges are recommended for serving.
