Ingredients

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups broccoli florets

3 tablespoons honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and grated ginger until well combined.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Sauté the Broccoli: In a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the broccoli florets and a pinch of salt. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes, or until they are vibrant in color and slightly tender but still crisp. Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade. Cook for approximately 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Combine: Once the shrimp are cooked through, return the sautéed broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything together to combine and heat through for an additional minute.

Serve: Remove the pan from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve warm over rice or quinoa if desired.
