Ingredients

1 pound chicken breast, thinly sliced

4 slices of ham (preferably smoked)

4 slices of Swiss cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko works best)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Olive oil or cooking spray for frying

Slider buns (12-count)

Dijon mustard and/or mayonnaise for serving

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Season the thinly sliced chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Lay out each chicken slice and place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on top. Fold the chicken over the filling to create mini sandwiches.

Dredging Station: Set up three shallow bowls for the dredging process. In the first bowl, add the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined. In the third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

Coat the Chicken: Take each chicken sandwich, first dredge it in flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat with all chicken pieces.

Fry the Sliders: In a large skillet, heat about ¼ inch of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken sandwiches in batches (don’t overcrowd the pan). Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the cooked sliders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard or mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a piece of fried chicken on top, then finish with the top half of the bun.

Garnish and Serve: Arrange the sliders on a serving platter. If desired, garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces on the side.
