Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1/4 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)

Optional: pickled jalapeños (for a spicy kick)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the biscuits.

Cook the Turkey: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey. Cook until it’s browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Break it up with a spatula as it cooks.

Add Seasonings and BBQ: Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Pour in the BBQ sauce and mix well. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Prepare the Biscuits: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your hands or a rolling pin, making them broad enough to hold the turkey filling.

Assemble the Melts: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the BBQ turkey mixture onto the center of each flattened biscuit. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of the turkey mixture.

Fold and Seal: Carefully fold the biscuit over the filling, pinching the edges to seal them well. Place the filled biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Once baked, remove the melts from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Garnish with sliced green onions and optional pickled jalapeños for extra flavor.

Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy these delightful Mini BBQ Turkey Biscuit Melts as a delicious appetizer or a fun main dish!
