For the Danish Dough:

1 package (15 oz) King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg (for egg wash)

For the Cheesecake Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Zest of 1 lemon

1/4 cup sour cream

For the Pineapple Topping:

1 cup fresh pineapple, diced

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

Prepare the Danish Dough:

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.

      Shape the Rolls:

        Open the package of King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls and gently pull apart each roll, rolling them out slightly to flatten. Arrange the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a circular formation.

          Fill & Fold:

            Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each roll. Starting from the outer edge, fold the dough over the cream cheese mixture, creating a petal-like shape around the filling. Repeat with all rolls.

              Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:

                In a separate bowl, beat together 8 oz of cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and sour cream until creamy and well-combined.

                  Add Cheesecake Filling:

                    Pour the cheesecake filling into the center of the shaped sweet rolls, spreading it gently.

                      Create Pineapple Topping:

                        In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the diced pineapple, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the pineapple is softened and caramelized. Allow to cool slightly.

                          Top the Cheesecake:

                            Spoon the caramelized pineapple mixture over the cheesecake filling in the center of the rolls.

                              Bake:

                                Beat the egg and brush it over the edges of the Danish. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

                                  Cool and Serve:
