Ingredients

4 slices of sourdough bread

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2-3 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced (seeds removed for less heat)

1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Jalapeño Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, sliced jalapeños, and crumbled bacon (if using). Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Sandwich: Lay out two slices of sourdough bread. Spread a generous amount of the jalapeño cheese mixture onto each slice. Top with the remaining slices of bread to form two sandwiches.

Butter the Bread: Spread butter evenly on the outer sides of each sandwich to create a golden and crispy crust.

Grill the Sandwiches: Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the sandwiches from the heat and let them sit for a minute before slicing in half. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or spicy ketchup.
