Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, rice vinegar, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray for easier cleanup.

Bake the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later. Place the fillets skin-side down in the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Make the Glaze: While the salmon is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, until it thickens slightly.

Glaze and Serve: Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven and brush the thickened glaze over the top of the fillets. To add an extra touch, you can broil the salmon for an additional 1-2 minutes for a caramelized topping.

Garnish and Plate: Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if using. Serve with lemon wedges on the side and your favorite sides like steamed rice or sautéed vegetables.
