Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or plant-based substitute)

1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon smoked paprika

4 small slider buns (preferably brioche)

4 ounces creamy goat cheese

Fresh arugula or spinach for garnish

Optional: Pickled red onions for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Cherry Glaze: In a small pan, combine the halved cherries, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, until the cherries become soft and the mixture thickens slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Remove from heat and set aside.

Season the Meat: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into slider patties.

Grill the Sliders: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the sliders for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, top each slider with a slice of goat cheese, allowing it to melt slightly.

Toast the Buns: While the sliders are grilling, place the slider buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are lightly toasted.

Assemble the Sliders: Spread a generous spoonful of the grilled cherry glaze on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the slider patty on top, add a layer of arugula or spinach, and if desired, some pickled red onions for added tang.

Serve: Place the top half of the bun on each slider and serve immediately, with any leftover cherry glaze on the side for dipping.
