Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced green chilies (canned or fresh)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Optional: Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, diced green chilies, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined.

Roll Out Dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto the prepared baking sheet. Separate the dough into triangles following the perforations.

Add Filling: Place a generous tablespoon of the cheese and chili mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

Roll Up: Carefully roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip to form a crescent shape. Make sure to seal the edges well to prevent the cheese from leaking during baking.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with the beaten egg to give them a nice golden shine.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and puffed up.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with sour cream or salsa for dipping.
