Instructions

Prepare the Muffin Sliders:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with 12 muffin liners.

      - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.

        - Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños until well combined.

          - In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

            - Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups (about 2/3 full).

              - Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool slightly before removing from the tin.

                Make the Melt Filling:

                  - In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.

                    - Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

                      - Reduce the heat to low, then add the shredded cheddar and cream cheese. Stir until the cheeses are melted and well combined. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro if desired.

                        Assemble the Sliders:

                          - Slice each muffin in half horizontally to create the top and bottom portions.

                            - Place a generous spoonful of the meat mixture on the bottom half of each muffin.

                              - If desired, top with pickled jalapeños and avocado slices for an extra kick.

                                - Place the top half of the muffin on the filling and press down gently to secure.

                                  Serve:
