Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)

1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

A pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them into 1-inch thick rounds. Aim for even slices to ensure uniform freezing.

Mix the Yogurt: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract, if using. Stir until well mixed and creamy.

Dip the Banana Slices: Dip each banana round into the yogurt mixture, thoroughly coating it. Use a fork or your fingers to help coat them evenly.

Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the yogurt-coated banana slices. You can lightly press them in to make sure they stick.

Freeze the Bites: Line a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper. Place the coated banana rounds on the parchment, ensuring they are spaced apart to prevent sticking.

Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for about 2-3 hours, or until the yogurt is firm and the bananas are solid.

Serve: Once frozen, remove from the freezer and let them sit for a minute to soften slightly for easier biting. Serve as a delicious, frozen snack or dessert!

Storage: Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.
