Ingredients

2 large ripe bananas

1 cup dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate for a sweeter option)

2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts, or pecans)

1/4 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)

Sea salt (for a sprinkle on top)

Instructions

Preparation of Bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them into 1-inch thick rounds. Arrange the slices on a lined baking sheet, ensuring they don't touch each other.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth.

Coat the Banana Slices: Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each banana slice into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.

Toppings: After coating, sprinkle the chopped nuts and shredded coconut on top of the chocolate-covered bananas before the chocolate sets. For an extra touch, add a light sprinkle of sea salt over some bites.

Freeze: Carefully transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and freeze the banana bites for about 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate has hardened completely.

Serve and Enjoy: Once frozen, you can enjoy your banana bites immediately or transfer them to an airtight container for later. Store in the freezer to keep them fresh.
