Ingredients

3 cups penne pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup frozen peas (optional)

1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken and season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir until well combined and simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Gradually add in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. If using, add frozen peas and season with red pepper flakes, if desired.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta, sautéed chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Mix well to ensure all the pasta is coated.

Assemble the Bake: Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
