Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Cooking spray

Instructions

Prepare the Churro Batter: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the water, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.

Shape the Bites: Transfer the batter to a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner snipped off. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

Pipe the Churros: Squeeze small amounts of the batter into the air fryer basket, creating bite-sized churro shapes. Leave some space between them to allow for expansion.

Air Fry: Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping the churro bites halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: While the churro bites are cooking, mix the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar with the ground cinnamon in a shallow dish. Once cooked, immediately toss the warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve your crispy churro bites warm with a side of chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping, if desired!
