Ingredients

2 cups pecan halves

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup rolled oats (optional for extra crunch)

1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins (optional for sweetness)

Instructions

Prep Your Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.

Toast the Pecans: Spread the pecan halves evenly on the baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and fragrant. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Make the Glaze: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the maple syrup, brown sugar, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combine Ingredients: Remove the saucepan from heat and fold in the toasted pecans, rolled oats (if using), and dried cranberries or raisins (if using). Ensure all pecans are well coated with the maple glaze.

Form Clusters: Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the clusters are golden and the glaze is bubbling.

Cool Down: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the clusters cool completely on the parchment paper. They will harden as they cool.

Serve & Enjoy: Once cooled, gently break apart any clusters that may have stuck together. Serve them as a snack, topping for yogurt, or an addition to dessert—enjoy your crunchy maple glazed pecan clusters!
