1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded purple cabbage

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Lime wedges, for serving

Optional: hot sauce or salsa for topping

Prepare the Chickpeas: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). On a baking sheet, toss the drained chickpeas with olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer.

    Roast: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chickpeas are crisp and golden brown. Make sure to shake the pan halfway through for even cooking.

      Warm Tortillas: While the chickpeas are roasting, heat the tortillas. You can do this directly over a gas flame for a few seconds on each side or in a dry skillet until warm and pliable.
