9 oz fresh or frozen cheese tortellini

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
