8 oz pasta of your choice (fettuccine or penne recommended)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or fresh basil, chopped)

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Extra grated Parmesan for serving

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
