Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Roll Layer:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Cheesecake Layer:

16 oz cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup heavy cream

For the Topping:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: extra ground cinnamon for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray and set aside.

Make the Cinnamon Roll Layer: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Add in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract; mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Stir in the ground cinnamon until incorporated.

Create the Swirls: Pour the cinnamon roll batter into the prepared springform pan. Using a spatula, spread it evenly across the bottom but leave it slightly thicker toward the edges to form a crust. With a knife, swirl the batter to create patterns - it doesn’t need to be perfect!

Prepare the Cheesecake Layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Mix in the vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in sour cream and heavy cream until evenly blended.

Combine Layers: Pour the cheesecake batter over the cinnamon roll layer. Tap the pan gently on the countertop to remove any air bubbles.

Bake: Place the cheesecake in the preheated oven and bake for about 55-65 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door open, letting the cheesecake cool in the oven for an hour to prevent cracking.

Cool and Chill: Remove the cheesecake from the oven and the springform pan once cooled. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to help it set.

Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the chilled cheesecake. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for an added touch.

Serve: Slice the cheesecake, serve chilled, and enjoy the delightful blend of cinnamon rolls and creamy cheesecake!
