Ingredients

1 pound ziti pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

1 cup chicken broth

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large, deep skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Sauce and Broth: Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to low and stir in the marinara sauce and chicken broth. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes to blend the flavors together.

Combine Pasta and Cheese: Add the cooked ziti to the skillet, followed by the ricotta cheese. Mix thoroughly until the pasta is coated evenly with the sauce and the ricotta is distributed throughout.

Top with Cheeses: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.

Melt the Cheese: Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil and allow it to cook on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil, and serve immediately.
