Ingredients

1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch thick pieces

1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)

1 tablespoon honey

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

4 ounces goat cheese, softened

Olive oil for drizzling

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Crostini: Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Toast in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Make the Berry Mixture: While the crostini is toasting, place the mixed berries in a medium bowl. Add honey, balsamic vinegar, and chopped fresh basil. Gently toss to combine and let it sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Spread the Goat Cheese: Once the crostini are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Spread a generous layer of softened goat cheese on each slice.

Top with Berries: Spoon the balsamic berry mixture generously over the goat cheese on each crostini.

Garnish: Finish with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh basil leaves for added aroma and visual appeal.

Serve: Arrange the crostini on a serving platter and serve immediately as an appetizer or delightful snack.
