Ingredients

1 block (14 oz) firm or extra-firm tofu

3 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Tofu: Drain the tofu and press it gently between paper towels or a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

Coat the Tofu: In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the tofu cubes to the mixture and toss gently until all the pieces are evenly coated.

Bake the Tofu: Spread the coated tofu cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.

Glaze with Sweet Chili Sauce: Once the tofu is crispy, remove it from the oven. In a separate bowl, combine the baked tofu with the sweet chili sauce, tossing gently to coat each piece evenly.

Serve: Transfer the glazed tofu to a serving platter, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra zing.

Enjoy this deliciously crispy baked tofu with a sweet and spicy kick!
