Ingredients

4 large croissants

6 large eggs

1/2 cup whole milk

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced cooked bacon or sausage (optional)

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried thyme

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Croissants: Carefully slice each croissant in half lengthwise, like a boat. If needed, scoop out a bit of the soft interior to create more space for the filling.

Make the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme until well combined.

Assemble the Filling: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, diced bacon or sausage (if using), and chopped green onions into the egg mixture.

Fill the Croissants: Place the croissant halves cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Carefully pour the egg mixture into each croissant boat, filling them generously but without overflowing.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the egg is fully set and the croissants are golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm. Enjoy!
