1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

4 large eggs

1 cup apple butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup buttermilk

For the Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2-3 tbsp milk (to desired consistency)

Optional: additional ground cinnamon for garnish

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 13x18-inch sheet cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Set aside.

      Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).

        Add Eggs: Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the apple butter and vanilla extract until smooth.

          Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk. Start and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
