When preparing your Cheesy Air Fryer Stuffed Pasta Poppers, it’s crucial to space them correctly in the air fryer basket. Proper spacing allows hot air to circulate evenly around each pasta popper, ensuring that they cook thoroughly and achieve that delightful crispiness we all crave. Aim to place the poppers in a single layer, leaving a small gap between each one. This will help prevent them from sticking together and allow for even browning, resulting in a perfectly cooked batch every time.

Ingredients

12 jumbo pasta shells

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Olive oil spray

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package directions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Pasta: Once the pasta shells are cool enough to handle, carefully stuff each shell with a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

Arrange the Poppers: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Place the stuffed pasta shells in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch. Lightly spray the tops of the stuffed shells with more olive oil.

Air Fry: Cook the stuffed shells in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden and heated through. Keep an eye on them to prevent over-cooking.

Serve: Carefully remove the pasta poppers from the basket. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping, and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
